Getting started

Tap Scan Receipt, or ••• to choose a photo or a file, or share a PDF or image to PWE Receipts from Mail, Files or Photos. The original is saved first; then the fields are read on your device and shown beside the line they came from. Check them, then Confirm Record.

Exporting for your accountant

In Records, tap the share button, choose a period (a month, a quarter or a financial year) and share the cash-basis CSV, the exceptions CSV that lists what was left out and why, and the manifest. With Pro, the originals go too, as one zip.

PWE Receipts keeps records; it does not give tax advice. Check with your accountant how your records should be treated.

PWE Receipts Pro

Free: capture, automatic reading of 100 receipts each financial year, review, Records, Summary, the CSV export, archives and iCloud sync. Pro adds automatic reading past 100, the package with originals and the reviewed items CSV, for A$9.99 a year or A$29.99 once. You can try it free for 14 days first; the trial ends by itself and nothing is charged.

To cancel the yearly subscription: Settings on your iPhone or iPad → your name → Subscriptions. To restore a purchase on a new device: PWE Receipts → Settings → PWE Receipts Pro → Restore Purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

A new iPhone or iPad

Signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on, your records come across by themselves. Without iCloud, save an archive on the old device (Settings → Create Archive) and restore it on the new one (Settings → Restore from Archive, into an empty PWE Receipts).

Privacy

Your receipts stay on your device and in your own iCloud; we never receive them. Read the privacy policy.
