About

Who we are

Melbourne, since 2011. Two people plus AI agents, from brand to system — how we work, and why.

Where we came from

How we got here.

PWE (天域) began in 2011 as Paradise Production. Part of PWE Group Pty Ltd, it has been based in Melbourne for over a decade, working with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Audi, HSBC, Ray White, PDG and Everland, across campaigns, aerial and property content.

The lockdowns changed everything. Our wedding and event lines depended on being physically in the room, and that room was closed. We retired them rather than run them on life support.

In the same period our founder, Lee Liu, moved into financial services as a mortgage broker — a practice he still runs today. It wasn't a departure; it was a change of seat. We used the CRMs daily, chased the leads, worked through compliance. We became the kind of client we would later serve.

By 2026, AI made it possible for a small team to ship what once required an entire engineering department. That's where PWE Studio came from — a system we run our own studio on, every day.

The team

Two people, plus AI that does real work.

Lee Liu

Lee Liu1

Founder

Founded Paradise Production in 2011; a decade of commercial visual production, from brand films to property content. Also practises in financial services as a mortgage broker for local families and small businesses — that first-hand experience shapes how we read a small business's digital needs.

Janet Meng

Janet Meng1

Lead Creative & Art Director

Trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University and RMIT Melbourne; a commissioned artist for Louis Vuitton. Founder and principal teacher of Let's Paint Studio; owns brand visuals and the aesthetic call.

AI agents

We use AI and AI agents for the repetitive and exploratory work — concept drafts, code scaffolding, first-pass content, test coverage. That is how a small team delivers what used to need a whole department. Every deliverable is still signed off by a person.

Why us

Five reasons

  1. Our own product, in our own hands every day

Most agencies resell you someone else's SaaS. PWE Studio is ours: we wrote it and we run it. What goes wrong after launch is not something we guess at — we handle it daily.

  2. We have sat on your side of the table

Our founder still practises in financial services: using the CRM, chasing the enquiries, working through compliance. We know where a system makes people give up — and that decides how we design it.

  3. A decade of visual craft

Not an engineering shop bolting on design, nor a design studio bolting on engineering. Ten years of commercial visual work is the judgement we bring to brand and interface — here, good-looking and usable are not two departments.

  4. Local, and bilingual

Over a decade in Melbourne, across prestige cars, banking, property, clinics and training. Bilingual delivery is the default, not a line on the invoice.

  5. Trust through clarity

Prices written down, permissions written down, data boundaries written down. In PWE Studio every class-credit change carries who, when and why — we sell it that way because we work that way.

Services

One team, start to finish.

Brand, visuals, content and systems come from the same team — no translating between vendors, and no argument about who owns the outcome.

FAQ

What people ask us most

How big is the team?

Two people plus AI agents: Lee Liu (founder) and Janet Meng (lead creative / art director). A small team ships what used to need a department because of the toolchain, not headcount.

Where is AI used?

Concept drafts, code scaffolding, first-draft content, test coverage — the repetitive and exploratory parts. Every deliverable is finalised by a person.

The founder also works as a mortgage broker. Is that a distraction?

It runs in parallel, and it is the point. Using a CRM daily, chasing enquiries and handling compliance made us the kind of customer we now serve — that shapes the product judgement.

What is Janet Meng's background?

Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University and RMIT Melbourne; a Louis Vuitton commissioned painter; founder and lead teacher of Let's Paint Studio.

Why insist on one team start to finish?

Because subcontracting is the most common way small-business digital work fails: brand from one shop, site from another, system from a third — mismatched, unaccountable, unmaintained.
